2014 Season- University of Kentucky
Thanks to former UK baseball coach Keith Madison, we were able to gain some access to the University of Kentucky baseball program. Unfortunately, the team was playing at Texas A&M that weekend so we did not get a chance to meet them or watch them play. We were able to tour their baseball facilities and campus. It was a great time and our guys were able to see how a major college program is structured.
After visiting UK, we drove down the road to watch a Division 3 HCAC matchup between Transylvania University and Franklin University. We were able to watch four innings before heading to our hotel in Cincinnati. We would play a DH against Oak Hills and Glen Este the following afternoon. We were close to sweeping the day, but ended up splitting. We beat Glen Este 7-4 and lost to Oak Hills 12-6.
After our DH, we had dinner at Dave & Busters. The food was good and the entertainment was great. We all had a good time and nearly bankrupted D&B's tickets!
During our time on the bus, we got quite familiar with nearly all of Will Ferrell's movies. Glad our boys picked the classics to watch on the road.
