Varsity Assistant
Coach Justus is a 2006 graduate of Berne Union High School. He received scholarships in baseball and football coming out of high school to attend Urbana University, where he went his freshmen year. He then transferred to Slippery Rock University (PA) and continued his football career for 2 years. After that, he transferred to Muskingum University and finished out his football career. He then coached college football at Muskingum University and was a graduate assistant for 2 years. He coached Wide Receivers at Denison University the year after. He played baseball for American Legion Post 11 in Lancaster from 2004-2006. While in high school he received Mid State League awards in football and baseball.
Coach Justus earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Physical Education (grades K-12) from Muskingum in 2011. In 2013, he received his Master’s Degree from Muskingum University in Adult Education.
This will be his 7th year in the Gales Baseball Program. He was the Freshmen Head Coach for two years, Head JV Coach for two years and this will be his 3rd as Varsity Assistant. Coach Justus is also the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for the Gales Baseball Program. Coach Justus also coaches football and spent 7 years coaching at Lancaster.
Outside of coaching, Coach Justus enjoys spending time with his wife Allie, son Kabe (2), working out, vacationing, and spending time with his friends and family. Coach Justus is also a CF-L1 trainer at TrueFit in Lancaster as well. He is a big time supporter of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians!
